Taegan's HBO treatments were scheduled to begin on March 19th, however she came down with a bad head cold on Friday, March 16th and I had to cancel the appointment. I now have her cold as well....
The appointment is rescheduled for March 27th. We're keeping our fingers crossed that we'll both be healthy enough to begin HBO that day!
We cannot do HBO with any kind of head congestion etc. because we have to be able to equalize the pressure in our ears as the atmospheric pressure inside the chamber drops. We will be 'diving' to a depth of 20 feet below sea level. It is equal to 1.5 ATA
Fingers crossed that we both are completely healthy by Tuesday morning!

- My name is Taegan Sage, and I'm 7 years old. I was born 2 months early. I have cerebral palsy/spastic diplegia, periventricular leukomalacia (PVL),autism, duplication of 8p23.3 and possible mitochondrial disorders. I work very hard in all of my therapies. I have Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech Therapy each 2x/wk.I enjoy Hippotherapy, Craniosacral Therapy, & Music Therapy 1x/wk.I also swim on Sunday evenings.I keep my mommy pretty busy!My daddy works 2 jobs just to make ends meet, but often we come up short because therapies and medical bills are so expensive. Mommy hasn't been able to return to work yet either because she's so busy making sure I get to all my doctors appointments and making sure I get all the therapies I need. My mommy is organizing several fund raising events so that I can receive hyperbaric oxygen treatments and biomedical interventions that are helping many autistic individuals.
